Social Media Manager (Maternity Cover)

Location: Tel Aviv (in-office, 5 days a week)
Type: Fixed-term maternity cover, with potential to grow into a permanent role as the team expands

About the Role

We're looking for a passionate Social Media Manager to lead our social media presence across multiple brands and product lines during a maternity cover period. You'll own strategy, content, performance tracking, and cross-functional collaboration - with real scope to bring your own ideas to the table and create tangible impact, not just maintain what exists.

This is a hands-on, high-ownership role suited to someone who's equally comfortable thinking strategically and creatively.

What You'll Do

Strategy & Management

  • Manage social media accounts across platforms for multiple brands under our portfolio - including our flagship ExpressVPN channels, ExpressVPN Gaming, and several smaller privacy brands within the Kape Technologies group - setting appropriate posting cadences for each and ensuring every brand maintains an active, healthy presence.

  • Adjust and rework social strategy per brand as needs evolve and platforms change.

  • Support and help bring larger, cross-functional campaigns to life on social media.

Content Ideation & Creation

  • Own content ideation across all brands - generating the ideas, angles, and formats that go out on social, not just executing a brief

  • Own the briefing process for all content going into the Design team

  • Build and own social media content plans for product launches, campaigns and events

  • Get hands-on with content creation yourself where it makes sense - especially for trend-driven, fast-turnaround pieces and lower lift content.

Performance & Insights

  • Track performance across all channels, extract learnings, and feed insights back to relevant teams to improve future content and strategy

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Comms & PR, Engineering, and Product Managers to make sure the business's priorities are represented on social in the smartest way possible

  • Partner closely with the Design team as the primary point of contact for all content briefs

  • Work with Legal on content ideas, giveaways and other activities.

  • Manage external relationships - including partners for our esports channels - collaborating on joint content and writing social media plans for activations

Brand Voice & Judgement

  • Stay on top of what's happening online and what's trending, while applying sound judgement on what's actually worth jumping into as a brand

  • Push the envelope and try new things, while staying firmly within brand voice guidelines

What We're Looking For

  • Native English speaker (required)

  • 3+ years experience managing social media, ideally within the tech / SaaS industry.

  • Familiarity with social media management tools (e.g., Khoros, Sprout, Buffer, Hootsuite, or similar)

  • Strong analytical instincts alongside creative ones - you can spot a trend worth joining and just as confidently walk away from one that isn't right for the brand

  • Excellent judgement above all: comfortable being creative and experimental without compromising brand consistency

  • Extreme ownership - someone who takes the reins, drives outcomes without needing to be chased, and genuinely wants to make an impact rather than just keep things ticking over

  • Comfortable juggling multiple brands, channels, and priorities at once without losing quality or consistency

  • Solution-focused - brings fixes and options to problems, not just flags

  • Basic content editing skills - CapCut (captions, edits) required; Figma a plus

  • A strong team player who contributes to the broader creative team, not just their own content - offering constructive feedback, sharing knowledge, and bringing inspiration to the group.

Nice to have:

  • Comfortable being the face of the brand on camera when needed - whether that's introducing a product update or jumping into a trend

  • An interest in gaming and gaming culture (not required, but a plus given the portfolio includes gaming channels)

Contract Details

This is a maternity cover position, starting at the October and lasting 6 months, possibly longer, or developing into a more permanent role for the right candidate.
