Job Overview
We’re looking for a passionate and collaborative Social Media Manager to help foster deeper connections between brands and their audiences. This individual will be a key part of our integrated team, helping to build and engage online communities through strategic social media and community management, content creation, and cultural storytelling. The ideal candidate is a creative self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and has a pulse on emerging trends and platforms.
Responsibilities
Organic Channel Management
- Own day-to-day management of brand social channels (posting, scheduling, monitoring)
- Maintain and update content calendars across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Draft platform-native copy that reflects brand voice and tone
- Ensure timely publishing of content aligned with campaign timelines, cultural moments, and evergreen themes
- Flag performance trends and real-time opportunities to the broader team
Community Management
- Monitor and engage with audience comments, DMs, tags, and mentions in a timely and on-brand manner
- Proactively build relationships with fans, creators, and communities through engagement tactics
- Escalate customer service or PR-sensitive issues to client/internal teams following protocols
- Track sentiment, engagement trends, and key conversation themes
Content & Creative Support
- Collaborate with creative and strategy teams to inform briefs and brainstorm content ideas
- Help identify and source UGC, lo-fi creator content, and visual references
- Ensure content is optimized per platform (format, length, captioning, etc.)
Strategic Involvement
- Participate in campaign and channel planning sessions
- Stay on top of platform trends, tools, and best practices—and proactively share learnings
- Support reporting needs by pulling post analytics and helping synthesize insights
- Contribute to monthly/quarterly performance wrap-ups and POVs on what’s working
Required Skills
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of major social media platforms, especially Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and X
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with attention to detail and a strong grasp of brand voice
- Highly organized, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Curious, creative, and culturally aware, bringing fresh ideas and a solutions-oriented mindset to every challenge
- Proven ability to work well both independently and in highly collaborative, cross-functional teams
- Quick learner with the ability to understand complex concepts and client industries
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in community management, social media, influencer marketing, or digital communications
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Comfortable with a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays as part of a rotation schedule
- Ability to travel as needed
At the time of posting, the base salary for this position ranges from $60,000-$75,000. Compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
