Social Media Script Writer/Video Editor (Freelancer)

You will concept, script, and edit short-form social videos across comedy, romance, action, and drama. You will develop promos, trailers, explainers, and comic-panel animations; create both polished motion design and quick-turn social videos; collaborate with creatives; and apply fan-culture, meme, and platform trends to engaging storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Concept, script, and edit short-form video content with strong hooks and cliffhangers.
• Develop content across humor, romance, and action genres.
• Collaborate with copywriters, designers, and art directors on character-driven platform-native content.
• Develop series promos, trailers, and explainer content.
• Create expressive animations from comic panels.
• Produce high-quality motion design and quick-turn social videos.
• Create engaging ads using a distinct storytelling point of view.
• Stay current with fan culture, animation trends, memes, and narrative formats.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in a creative agency, production company, or in-house entertainment team.
• Strong copywriting and scripting background.
• Proficiency in Premiere Pro and After Effects.
• General knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and Audition.
• Experience with animation or VFX tools.
• Comfort with character rigging and animation principles.
• Portfolio or reel demonstrating professional motion design and storytelling work.
• Ability to work to fast-paced timelines and deliver projects on time, on brand, and on budget.
