Discussion

Looking for a role where social media, storytelling, and community building come together to create meaningful connections with people who use our solutions every day?

At Össur, our purpose is to help people live a Life Without Limitations and, in today’s connected world, social media is one of the ways we bring that purpose closer to the global amputee community.

As a Social Media Specialist, you will help consolidate Össur’s global social media presence, create engaging and relevant content, and build a supportive online community through stories, education, product inspiration, and meaningful dialogue.

You’ll take ownership of our global content calendar, manage social media platforms, support influencer collaborations, and work closely with market teams and cross-functional partners to make sure our content is consistent, locally relevant, and aligned with broader marketing goals.

This position is based in our Szczecin office, with the option to work fully remotely from Poland.

Your accountabilities:

  • Social Media Strategy: Develop and implement a global social media strategy aligned with marketing goals and the needs of the amputee community.

  • Content Creation & Planning: Create and curate engaging content, from inspirational stories and product demonstrations to educational resources, while managing a consistent global content calendar.

  • Community Engagement: Build and nurture a supportive online community by engaging with followers, responding to comments, and participating in relevant conversations.

  • Influencer & Partner Collaboration: Identify and manage influencer collaborations and prepare clear creative briefs that support campaign objectives and messaging.

  • Market & Social Listening: Work with market teams and use social listening tools to gather insights on consumer trends, local needs, brand sentiment, and competitive activity.

  • Analytics and Optimization: Track and analyze social media performance, identify trends, measure impact, and use insights to improve future activities.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with B2B Marketing, R&D, Sales, Product Management, and other teams to ensure social media activities are aligned and effective.

What do you need to be successful in this role:

  • Have a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

  • Bring 3+ years of experience in social media marketing, ideally from a DTC or healthcare environment.

  • Know how to build and nurture engaged social media communities.

  • Understand key social media platforms, algorithms, trends, and best practices.

  • Write clearly and confidently, with the ability to adapt content to different audiences and channels.

  • Combine creativity with an analytical mindset and feel comfortable using data to improve performance.

  • Enjoy working independently while collaborating with international, cross-functional teams.

  • Have a genuine interest in creating meaningful content for the amputee community.

  • Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
