Social Work Assistant

We are working closely alongside a local authority in Cardiff to assist with the appointment of a Social Work Assistant on a 3-months contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £16.67 - £21.83 per hour

Summary:

Cardiff Children's Services is seeking dedicated Social Work Assistants to join our established and supportive Locality teams. Working under the guidance of a Principal Social Worker (PSW) and Team Manager, you will play a vital role in delivering services to children and their families. You will be responsible for managing a small caseload as required by the specific team, ensuring that the principles of being Open, Fair, and Together are at the heart of your practice to deliver the best outcomes for the people of Cardiff.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and be accountable for a small allocated caseload as determined by the needs of the team.
• Arrange and monitor appropriate services in accordance with individual care plans.
• Complete annual care plan reviews and/or reassessments to ensure ongoing support is effective.
• Undertake all duties in line with Council Policies, Health and Safety legislation, and Equal Opportunities principles.

Qualifications:

• Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent.
  

Essentials:

• Experience working with service users through direct contact in a professional environment.
• Full valid driving license with sole access to a vehicle during working hours.

• You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
• You should have right to work in U.K
• This role requires an Enhanced DBS
