This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. VA Careers - Licensed Clinical Social Worker: https://youtube.com/embed/U_xC25QsN0w Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional The Social Work Program Coordinator for whom this functional statement applies is administratively responsible for the Marriage and Family Clinical Program within the Behavioral Health Interdisciplinary Programs (BHIPs) and provides consultation, coordination, and direct patient care services to Veterans and their families assigned to the BHIPs, PTSD Clinical Team, Addictions Treatment Programming, Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Recovery Center (PRRC), and Psychosocial Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program (PRRTP). The Marriage and Family Clinical Program Coordinator uses advanced training and expertise to provide independent specialized assessment and treatment of Veterans and their families who have complex and severe medical and mental illnesses, including but not limited to PTSD and other Anxiety Disorders, Depressive Disorders, Substance Abuse, Traumatic Brain Injury, Cognitive Impairment Disorders, and Severe Mental Illness. Duties may include: Performs comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments for Veterans and family members with complex physical and behavioral disorders to determine the nature of the presenting problem, biological, social, emotional, cognitive, and behavioral factors related to the presenting problem, and the impact of the presenting problem on the Veteran's physical, social, emotional, recreational, and occupational functioning. Uses advanced clinical training to select, utilize, and interpret appropriate outcome measures. Integrates all subjective and objective data into a comprehensive assessment that informs treatment planning. Makes independent clinical diagnoses, decisions, and recommendations for agency action. Due to the complex nature of Veterans' diagnoses, the consequences of these decisions may be serious and results unpredictable. Develops, implements, and documents the psychotherapeutic treatment plan for an assigned caseload of patients, including prompt completion of clinical reminders. Coordinates assessment and screening of patients for specific mental health programs, including PTSD Clinical Team, Addictions Treatment Programming, Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Recovery Center (PRRC), and Psychosocial Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program (PRRTP), and provides referrals to internal and external therapeutic resources, as clinically indicated. Routinely utilizes Measurement Based Care, per VA initiative, with Veterans to inform treatment planning and track therapeutic outcomes. Coordinates the Marriage and Family Clinical Program with other services offered in the treatment program assuring such services are complementary and comprehensive. Directs activities to maximize effectiveness, efficiency, and continuity of care for Veterans. Conducts staff development trainings for other providers to improve availability and access to competent Marriage and Family services. Serves as a mentor to other Social Workers, particularly those at the entry level. Provides clinical supervision for unlicensed Social Workers and for Social Work associates. Is viewed by Social Workers and interdisciplinary team members as a senior clinician with advanced practice skills and expertise.
