Social Worker

An exciting opportunity is available to become an integral member of our team as a Social Worker. Passionate about providing the best quality care for patients, our supportive team of professionals provides a range of services to assist patients and their families with the emotional and practical impacts of illness, injury and hospitalisation.

Reporting to the Allied Health Manager, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager and Team Leads to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital and Ramsay Health Care.

About You:

• Bachelor of Social Work (or equivalent)
• Eligible for full membership of Australian Association of Social Workers
• Demonstrated ability to utilise a variety of social work interventions including complex care coordination and discharge planning.
• Demonstrated experience in medical social work practice
• Knowledge of community resources services to meet patient needs
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and independently as required
• Willingness to uphold the Ramsay Way core values
• Experience in both Rehabilitation and acute care settings highly desirable.
