Software Application Architect for S2P (Source to Pay) / I2D (Intralogistics to demand) / O2C (Order to Cash) area

Roles & Responsibilities :

As a Software/Application Architect you will be responsible for:

• Stream deliverables are built efficiently, with a strong focus on quality, performance, and timely delivery

• Development aligns with architectural decisions and adheres to “Keep the Core Clean” principles

• Developers within the stream are well-led, guided, and coordinated for maximum productivity and alignment

• Code is documented, traceable, and testable to ensure smooth deployment, handover, and support readiness

• Delivery is tightly integrated with business needs through active collaboration with consultants, architects, and stakeholders

• The Application Architect acts as a stream-level architectural lead, ensuring technical direction, stability, and delivery excellence throughout the full development lifecycle

Educational qualification:

Information Technology, Business Administration, or a comparable field

Experience :

• Experience as an SAP Technical Expert minimum 8+ years

• Experience in S/4 Project minimum 2 years

• Strong proficiency in SAP S/4 HANA development (ABAP, RAP, Fiori/UI5, CDS, BAdIs, BTP services, OO)

• Hands-on experience with integration (OData, IDocs, RFC, APIs, middleware)

• Stream-level ownership of development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, and deployment

• Familiarity with clean core extensibility, including side-by-side and in-app extensions, with awareness of technical debt impacts and mitigation strategies

• Competence in code performance tuning, debugging, and root cause analysis

• Working knowledge of SAP project tools (Transport & Release Management, Docupedia, SolMan, Eclipse)

• Ensures compliance with SAP standards and quality gates, reflecting the 8 Guiding Principles.

• Clear technical communication with consultants, testers, and architects

• Stream-level task coordination and developer support

• Analytical thinking for breaking down functional specs into scalable solutions

• Agile and adaptable in sprint-based delivery environments

• Strong focus on quality, consistency, and delivery predictability

• Hands-on mentoring of junior developers through reviews and coaching

• Problem-solving mindset to overcome development roadblocks quickly
