Software Architect - Graphic Controller
NTT DATA Romania Software Architect - Graphic Controller
Who We Are
We don’t just develop embedded software — we engineer intelligence into products. The Embedded Competence Center at NTT DATA Romania brings together experts in embedded systems, firmware development, and hardware–software integration, delivering robust and high-performance solutions for complex, safety-critical environments. With strong expertise in C/C++, AUTOSAR, real-time operating systems, and communication protocols, we design scalable embedded architectures, integrate software seamlessly with hardware, and ensure compliance with industry standards. Across the industries we support — from Automotive and Industrial Automation to Smart Devices and IoT — we transform reliable embedded technology into a foundation for innovative, dependable products.
We are looking for an experienced Software Architect / GC Responsible Architect to take ownership of the Graphic Controller (GC) software architecture for an automotive Instrument Cluster. The role focuses on VAS architecture, GC task model, INTEGRITY/ACE platform, high-level system mechanisms, and multicore architecture on a Renesas ARM Cortex-A7 based platform.
What you'll be doing
- Own and maintain the Graphic Controller software architecture.
- Define and coordinate the architecture of the different VASs and their interaction with the Base System.
- Define the GC task model, including processes, threads, priorities, scheduling, CPU affinity, and startup dependencies.
- Define high-level system mechanisms such as IPC/RPC, synchronization, shared memory, resource management, error handling, and system supervision.
- Design and optimize the software architecture for multicore execution.
- Ensure proper integration between VASs, ACE, INTEGRITY OS, middleware, and application/HMI components.
- Analyze system-level issues related to CPU load, memory, timing, synchronization, and performance.
- Support software integration, debugging, system bring-up, and architectural reviews.
- Collaborate with HMI, platform, integration, hardware, and system teams.
What you'll bring along
- Strong experience in embedded software architecture and development.
- Strong knowledge of C/C++.
- Experience with RTOS-based architectures, preferably Green Hills INTEGRITY.
- Good understanding of ACE or comparable automotive middleware/platform architectures.
- Strong knowledge of processes, threads, scheduling, IPC, synchronization, and memory management.
- Experience with multicore embedded systems, CPU affinity, and resource allocation.
- Good understanding of ARM Cortex-A architectures, ideally Cortex-A7.
- Experience with Renesas automotive controllers/SoCs is highly desirable.
- Strong system-level debugging and performance analysis skills.
- Experience with Automotive Instrument Cluster, Digital Cockpit, or Infotainment systems is nice to have.
- Green Hills MULTI / INTEGRITY development experience is nice to have.
- Knowledge of graphics/HMI architectures is nice to have.
- Experience with MMU, shared memory, cache management, and inter-core communication is nice to have.
- Automotive SPICE / ISO 26262 knowledge is nice to have.
