Posted Updated
Our Group Technology division is responsible for the technological foundation of DOUGLAS and continuously develops our information technology processes. As Software Asset & License Manager, you take on professional ownership of our group-wide license management. You build the structures, processes, governance and tool support it requires, and then keep developing the function further.
TASKS WITH IMPACT
- You take professional ownership of our group-wide software license management and build the processes, roles, governance structures and standards it requires
- Introducing and evolving a central license management solution is something you steer as a key part of this function, including data migration, integration, process definition and stakeholder alignment
- A reliable single source of truth for software assets, license entitlements, usage, costs, and contract and renewal information is what you establish
- License compliance activities are steered by you: you identify risks from under- and over-licensing and support software audits and the documentation they require
- Usage and entitlement data is analyzed by you on an ongoing basis, uncovering optimization potential through right-sizing, re-harvesting and reallocation
- Together with Procurement and the responsible stakeholders, you manage the renewal lifecycle, from contract term monitoring and forecasting to preparing vendor and contract negotiations
- Meaningful performance indicators and reports are what you develop, creating transparency for Procurement, Finance, IT Service Management, Vendor Management and business application owners
- Governance, policies, standards and operational procedures are continuously refined by you, and you ensure they are applied across the company
YOUR SKILLS
- You bring practical experience in software license management or software asset management and ideally have already built or significantly developed relevant structures, processes or tools
- Familiarity with the license models of large software vendors such as Microsoft, SAP, Oracle, Adobe or Salesforce is part of your profile; we do not expect you to know every vendor in detail
- Experience with established software asset management and license management solutions, for example Flexera or USU, as well as a good understanding of complex information technology system landscapes, rounds off your background
- Software-as-a-service and on-premise license models, compliance questions, software audits, and contract and renewal processes are known to you from practice
- Usage, contract and financial data can be analyzed by you in a structured way, from which you derive reliable performance indicators and concrete recommendations for action
- You work independently and in a structured way, take clear ownership of your topics, steer setup and change initiatives with confidence, and combine strategic thinking with hands-on implementation
- Collaboration with a variety of stakeholders in an international environment is something you shape proactively; complex topics are communicated by you clearly and tailored to your audience
- A commercial or information technology-related vocational education, a corresponding degree or a comparable qualification is what you bring; for us, relevant practical experience matters most
- Very good German and good English skills complete your profile
