How you'll make a difference

We’re looking for a Software Asset & Licensing Lead to strengthen software licensing governance across Australia and New Zealand, bringing data-driven oversight that optimises spend, improves utilisation, and supports compliant technology decisions.

  • Optimise software licensing across ANZ by improving allocation accuracy, reducing underutilisation, and reclaiming unused licences to deliver measurable cost savings.
  • Maintain full visibility of the software portfolio by tracking assets, renewals, costs, and ownership so licensing decisions are accurate and informed.
  • Build consistent licensing governance by embedding clear standards, lifecycle practices, and compliant ways of working, while staying ahead of shifting business needs.
  • Turn data into action by providing clear insights, dashboards, and reporting on software usage and cost management for stakeholders across the business, including Finance, Procurement, and Digital leaders.
  • Lead vendor engagement and negotiations, managing renewals, negotiations, and compliance discussions to improve value and reduce risk.

  • Around 5 years' experience overall, including at least 3 years specialising in software or licence management, is expected for this role.
  • Strong analytical and data capability, with the confidence to translate utilisation and cost data into clear insights for Finance, Procurement, and business stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in software asset management (SAM) and licensing governance, including allocation, reclamation, lifecycle controls, and compliance.
  • Commercially minded, with strong negotiation skills and a genuine drive to actively hunt for and deliver cost savings.
  • Technical, applied knowledge within an engineering, consulting, or construction environment, with familiarity with tools like Autodesk or Bentley highly regarded.

This role can be based in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney or New Zealand
