Software Developer (100% Remote)

Summary:
The Software Developer will be a part of designing, building, deploying, and debugging products across all aspects of our core call platform products. This role is responsible for investigating needs, effectively collaborating with stakeholders to develop user-friendly resources, and be a well-rounded resource that contributes to the organization’s success.

What This Role Does:

Improves scalability, stability, accuracy, speed, and efficiency of existing data systems.
Designs, builds, tests, documents, and deploys new libraries, frameworks or full systems for core systems while keeping to the highest standards of testing and code quality.
Works with experienced engineers and product owners to identify and build tools to automate many large-scale data management / analysis tasks.
Understands and implements security and data protection.
Collaborates as part of a Scrum team to support the design, development, testing, and delivery of software solutions.
Participates in code reviews.
Participates in daily standup meetings and all meetings of the agile SDLC: planning, estimation, retrospectives, demos, etc.
Performs other duties as assigned.

What You Will Bring:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related fields is preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered.
A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience as a software developer.
Hands-on experience in professional Java software development at an enterprise level.
Demonstrated understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
Knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current computing trends.
Knowledge of developing RESTful Microservices with Sprint Boot.
Experience with implementing distributed systems.
Experience with version control systems.
Proficiency in Linux.
A high-level understanding of data architecture principles.
Experience debugging and reasoning about production issues.
Ability to guide and support others through collaboration, including assisting teammates and contributing to shared processes, to foster a high-quality, team-oriented environment that drives results.
Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills, self-directed and able to handle multiple priorities with demanding timeframes.
Demonstrated ability to use discretion, make sound decisions, and maintain confidentiality.
Willingness and ability to work flexible hours as needed.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and modern communication tools for virtual teams (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Slack).

Preferred:

Knowledge of SIP and VoIP.
Experience with Python, Javascript, PHP, React, and React Native.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and VoIP.
