UNCOMN is seeking a Software Developer 2-3 (Associate/Mid-Level) to:
- Support the F-15 mission planning software and ensure successful missions for the USAF and our partners. This position works with a small development team to plan, execute, and enhance existing F-15 functionality.
- Develop, document, maintain, and unit test software design code by applying established methods and practices in a .NET environment.
- Perform troubleshooting of defects, operational, and integration issues.
- Document deployed processes and tools, collect metrics, and gather and organize data for use in plans, schedules, and estimates.
- Assist in the specification and maintenance of software requirements.
- Perform integration and qualification tests of software in the target environment.
- Actively collaborate and participate in software team meetings, design reviews, and peer reviews, while proposing solutions to problems.
- Apply exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization.
- Complete tasks that may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in accomplishing tasks.
- Participate in a hybrid schedule with an estimated (may change as needed) 3 days per week onsite, primarily based out of the Maryland Heights, MO office, with occasional onsite support at the Hazelwood, MO lab as needed.
- Bachelor of Science (or greater) degree from an accredited college or university, in engineering, computer science, or similar.
- 3+ years of relevant software development experience to include .NET, C#, Visual Studio, SQL, Windows, and/or Web APIs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform as a key contributor on an Agile development team.
- Strong understanding of software engineering and design principles, object-oriented programming (OOP), requirements analysis, configuration management, testing, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Ability to create and maintain technical documentation, including design documentation, test procedures, and software development artifacts.
- Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance, granted by the US Government as needed, which requires US citizenship. The government also uses 13 adjudicative guidelines to determine an individual's eligibility. Active DOW security clearance (or higher) preferred.
