Job Overview

The Senior Software Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale web applications. The successful candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in Java development, modern web technologies, RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and relational databases.

The role involves developing high-performance, scalable, secure, and accessible applications while collaborating with technical and functional teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain large-scale web applications.
  

• Develop server-side logic and manage database integration.
  

• Translate technical specifications into functional, tested applications.
  

• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and web services.
  

• Implement and support microservices architecture.
  

• Integrate front-end components with back-end services.
  

• Ensure application performance, scalability, security, and responsiveness.
  

• Develop applications compliant with PCI, WCAG 2.2, and AODA standards.
  

• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide post-implementation support.
  

• Conduct code reviews, design walkthroughs, and technical documentation.
  

• Collaborate with developers, architects, business stakeholders, and project teams.
  

• Follow Agile methodologies and established OPS development standards.

Core Skills and Experience – 40%

• 10+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-client web applications.
  

• 10+ years of hands-on Java development experience with Oracle or SQL databases.
  

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with REST APIs and RESTful Web Services.
  

• Strong understanding of microservices architecture.
  

• Experience applying architecture principles to improve extensibility and maintainability.
  

• Experience developing Internet-ready applications.
  

• Knowledge of Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodologies.
  

• Experience using Azure DevOps.
