Software developer – Connectivity & Security

Summary

Develop connectivity, security, and cloud features for medical ultrasound systems using C#/.NET, C++, and SQL while ensuring privacy and compliance with healthcare standards like DICOM.

Senior Software Developer – Connectivity & Security

Role Summary: Design, implement, deliver, and maintain software applications and services for embedded medical ultrasound systems, cloud solutions, and desktop applications. Coordinate integration with Hospital IT systems and other 3rd‑party systems.

Responsibilities

  • Define, develop, and evolve software in a fast‑paced agile environment.
  • Evolve and improve connectivity and privacy & security capabilities of the products.
  • Provide technical leadership when needed.
  • Work with Product Line Leaders (PLLs) to understand product requirements and vision.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with other business departments to align activities and deliverables.
  • Drive world‑class quality in the development and support of products.
  • Perform privacy and security risk assessments, threat modelling, and security testing.
  • Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies such as Lean/Agile/XP, CI, software and product security, scalability, documentation practices, refactoring, and testing techniques.

Education & Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Medical Imaging, or related discipline.
  • Experience with C#.NET and C++ programming.
  • Client/Server architecture knowledge.
  • SQL database experience.
  • Cybersecurity and data privacy knowledge.
  • Test‑driven development and Agile methodology experience.
  • Software architecture and SOLID design principles.

Other Useful Qualifications

  • Windows‑based programming.
  • Knowledge of DICOM standard.
  • Software projects in the healthcare domain.
  • Experience with penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.
  • Crypto libraries.
  • Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM or similar.
  • Risk management.
  • Development of cloud solutions.
  • Certified Scrum Master and/or Product Owner.
  • Business acumen: initiative to explore alternate technology, competitive awareness, technology impact analysis.
