Software Developer – CRM, AI & IT
Part-Time / Casual | Suitable for a University Student
Paramount Mortgages & Leasing
Bella Vista, Sydney NSW
About the role
We’re looking for a capable Software Developer to support and improve the technology used across our finance business.
A major part of the role will be taking ownership of our existing custom CRM, but you’ll also work on new software projects, websites, AI tools, automations and general IT requirements as the business grows.
The CRM is already built and operational, so we need someone who can independently understand the existing codebase, make changes, fix issues, and continue improving it.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll be the main technical person within the business, so you’ll need to be comfortable working independently, solving problems and managing projects from start to finish.
What you’ll be working on
Managing and improving our existing custom CRM
Making ongoing system changes and fixing bugs
Building new CRM features and functionality
Developing new internal software tools
Building and maintaining business websites
Working on AI tools and automation projects
Managing Sanity.io content and integrations
Integrating APIs and third-party platforms
Working with databases and cloud infrastructure
Assisting with general IT and technical issues across the business
Helping assess and implement new software and systems
Testing and deploying changes
Maintaining technical documentation
Taking ownership of new technology projects as they arise
Technical skills
We’re ideally looking for experience with:
React
Python
FastAPI
Postgres
AWS
Sanity.io
HTML / CSS / web development
APIs and integrations
Git / version control
AI coding tools such as Claude Code or similar
Building and deploying functional software applications
You don’t need to be an expert in every area, but you should be confident learning new systems and working things out independently.
About you
We’re looking for someone who:
Can work independently without day-to-day technical supervision
Can understand and work within an existing codebase
Has strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Enjoys building new things, not just maintaining existing systems
Can manage several small technical projects at once
Communicates clearly with non-technical staff
Is reliable and able to take ownership of tasks
This role may suit someone studying:
Software Engineering
Computer Science
Information Technology
Artificial Intelligence
Data Science
Or a related degree
University, personal, freelance and commercial projects are all considered.
Application requirements
Please include a GitHub profile, portfolio, website or examples of software/projects you have built with your application.
Why join us?
Work on live systems used every day by the business
Build new software, websites and AI tools from the ground up
Gain broad hands-on experience across software and IT
Flexible part-time or casual hours
Take real ownership of projects
Opportunity for the role to grow with the business
