Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Software Developer / Engineering Automation Developer with strong hands-on experience in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Esri ArcGIS.
The ideal candidate will develop plugins, automation tools, engineering applications, and AI-assisted workflows that connect BIM, CAD, GIS, databases, and enterprise systems.
This role is suitable for a developer who understands both software development and engineering/design workflows and can automate repetitive engineering activities, analyze drawings and models, and exchange data between Revit, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and other platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop custom Revit plugins and add-ins using the Revit API.
- Develop AutoCAD plugins, commands, and automation tools.
- Build applications and integrations using ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS APIs/SDKs.
- Create workflows connecting Revit AutoCAD ArcGIS.
- Extract, analyze, modify, and validate BIM/CAD/GIS data programmatically.
- Automate engineering drawing and model generation.
- Develop tools for automatic placement of engineering assets based on predefined rules.
- Build coordinate transformation and georeferencing workflows between CAD, BIM, and GIS environments.
- Work with layers, blocks, families, geometry, polylines, networks, routes, assets, and spatial databases.
- Develop intelligent routing and spatial-analysis functions.
- Integrate engineering applications with databases, REST APIs, and web applications.
- Create desktop or web interfaces for engineering automation tools.
- Develop dashboards for viewing engineering and GIS information.
- Implement automated drawing/model validation against engineering standards.
- Support AI-assisted engineering workflows using computer vision, LLMs, or rule-based engines where applicable.
- Generate automated reports, quantities, BOQs, asset registers, and engineering documentation.
- Work closely with engineers, BIM specialists, GIS specialists, and project managers.
