What you'll be doing

1. Design, develop, and test software applications using industry-standard programming languages and frameworks
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other developers to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions
3. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that adheres to established coding standards and best practices
4. Debug and troubleshoot software defects, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions
5. Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, share knowledge, and maintain consistency across the development team
6. Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and methodologies
7. Integrate third-party APIs and services into applications as required
8. Optimise application performance and implement security best practices
9. Document technical specifications and maintain comprehensive project documentation
10. Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to software development

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
2. Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in software development
3. Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, or C++
4. Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns
5. Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server
6. Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git
7. Knowledge of web development frameworks and technologies
8. Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
9. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
10. Experience with Agile development methodologies
11. Preferred: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), microservices architecture, or DevOps practices
12. Preferred: Exposure to software testing frameworks and test-driven development (TDD)
