Software Developer Fullstack (EU Public)

Full-stack developer building enterprise systems for EU border management using Java/Angular, UML design, and biometric data integration.

We're Looking for a Software Developer (Java and/or Angular).

This time you have the chance to be part of a project related to the development, consulting, and support of IT systems for an EU agency dedicated to European border management. The agency supports EU Member States and Schengen-associated countries in managing external borders and fighting cross-border crime.

Our expectations

  • Education: At least Bachelor's degree in ICT field is mandatory.

  • Certifications: At least 1 advanced-level certificate in software development technology domain (or an equivalent internationally recognized certification).

  • Minimum 6 years of IT-relevant professional experience, including at least 3 years in a similar role or project profile.

  • Hands-on experience as a Software Developer (or similar) in projects involving ICT solutions that queried/integrated with the Schengen Information System (SIS), OR enabled fingerprint scanning (NIST format), document scanning (MRZ), or biometric document scanning (RFID chip data).

  • Completed at least 1 full solution lifecycle from analysis to deployment.

  • Expert in developing enterprise-level software systems.

  • Proficient in UML and application design using UML.

  • Hands-on proficiency in designing and developing data layer and business logic layer.

  • Strong proficiency in designing and developing UI layer, including HTML and CSS.

  • Proven experience in Scrum development methodology.

  • Ability to lead technical teams, set standards, solve complex technical problems, and create clear technical documentation.

  • English language proficiency at minimum B2 level.

  • Openess to work on-site 5 days a month in Warsaw.

Key tasks

  • Design, develop, and prototype enterprise-level software systems across all layers (data layer, business logic layer, and UI layer with a focus on HTML/CSS).

  • Lead technical development teams, set software development standards, and estimate project effort and time.

  • Translate business requirements into architectural design using UML and produce clear technical documentation.

  • Optimize software performance, security, and quality while collecting and interpreting software metrics.

  • Manage software configuration, releases, and participate in requirements analysis, testing, QA, change management, and deployment.

  • Test solutions, build testing tools, and act as 2nd and 3rd line technical support.
