About the Role
Our client is looking for a motivated Software Developer Graduate / Junior Developer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate who has completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or a related field and is looking to build their career in software development. You’ll work closely with the Lead Developer, contributing to a new project from the ground up while developing your technical skills across software development, databases and problem solving.

The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in C#/.NET, good SQL knowledge and a genuine desire to learn and develop their skills.

Duties

• Assist with the design, development and implementation of software solutions
• Develop and maintain applications using C#/.NET
• Work with databases and SQL, including PostgreSQL
• Investigate and troubleshoot technical issues
• Participate in testing, debugging and problem solving
• Work collaboratively with the Lead Developer and wider team
• Contribute ideas and solutions to a new project
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and deliver quality work
• Document technical work and communicate progress clearly

Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or a related field
• Strong foundation in C#/.NET development through university projects, internships or personal projects
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL, or strong SQL fundamentals with a willingness to learn PostgreSQL
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• Structured approach to diagnosing and resolving issues
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• High attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership
• Proactive attitude and genuine enthusiasm for learning
• Must be eligible to work in Australia
