Software Developer
Summary
Build and maintain business-critical applications using C# and .NET, integrate systems via APIs, and deploy on Microsoft Azure while following software engineering best practices.
Salary: £45,000 - 55,000 per year
Requirements:- Commercial experience developing applications using C# and .NET
- Experience maintaining and enhancing business-critical applications
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, object-oriented design and testing practices
- Experience with SQL and relational databases
- Knowledge of API development and integration patterns
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and a desire to further develop cloud expertise
- Experience with Git, Azure DevOps or similar source control tools
- Exposure to AI-assisted development tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to manage priorities and deliver high-quality solutions
- Experience developing solutions in Microsoft Azure
- Knowledge of Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL and Service Bus
- Experience modernising legacy or on-premise applications
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience with Docker and containerisation technologies
- Knowledge of secure coding practices
- Experience working within Agile delivery teams
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline
- Design, develop, test and support software solutions using C# and .NET
- Build and enhance applications across Microsoft Azure and on-premise environments
- Develop and maintain APIs, integrations and supporting services
- Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and production issues
- Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, maintainable and highly available
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
- Produce technical documentation, testing artefacts and deployment procedures
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software
- Monitor and improve system performance, resilience and reliability
- Utilise AI-assisted development tools to enhance coding, testing, debugging and documentation activities
