SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

🔧 Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Analyse business and technical requirements and translate them into effective software solutions.
Develop clean, scalable, secure, and maintainable code using appropriate programming languages and frameworks.
Design and develop RESTful APIs and integrate third-party systems and services.
Develop and maintain database structures, queries, stored procedures, and data integrations.
Perform unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
Identify and resolve software defects, performance issues, and production incidents.
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and development best practices.
Use Git or other version-control systems for source-code management.
Collaborate with QA, DevOps, product managers, business users, and other stakeholders.
Prepare technical documentation, design specifications, and deployment documentation.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
Support application deployment, maintenance, upgrades, and continuous improvement.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend suitable improvements to existing systems.

5+ years of hands-on software development experience.
Strong programming experience in one or more languages such as:JavaC#PythonJavaScript / TypeScriptC++
Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and software design principles.
Experience developing RESTful APIs and web services.
Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
Experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket or equivalent version-control tools.
Knowledge of software testing methodologies and debugging techniques.
Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Good knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and secure coding practices.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud is an advantage.
Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes is an added advantage.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of relevant professional software development experience.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a technical team.
