JOB SUMMARY:
The Software Developer 2 is responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining software applications. This role requires the ability to handle moderately complex to complex development tasks independently, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure that applications are reliable, scalable, and aligned with business requirements. The position also involves collaborating with team members, participating in code reviews, and providing guidance to junior developers.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications.
Write clean, efficient, scalable, and maintainable code.
Analyze business and technical requirements and develop appropriate software solutions.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software issues to improve system performance and reliability.
Develop and maintain application modules, APIs, and system integrations as required.
Lead or take ownership of smaller technical projects and assigned development tasks with minimal supervision.
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, QA teams, and other stakeholders to deliver effective solutions.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers.
Contribute to technical documentation and continuous improvement of software development processes.
Stay updated on relevant technologies, tools, and software development best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
At least 2–4 years of relevant experience in software development.
Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, .NET, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or equivalent.
Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), databases, and SQL.
Familiarity with REST APIs, web services, and version control systems such as Git.
Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), testing, debugging, and deployment processes.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and handle complex technical tasks.
Experience in mentoring junior developers or conducting code reviews is an advantage.
