Software Developer Intern
Summary
An internship in Krakow contributing to enterprise software (DELMIA) development with .NET, C#, REST/gRPC, Git, and CI/CD, while learning application security hands-on through secure code reviews, threat modeling, and SAST/SCA/DAST tooling, with a path toward a Security Champion role.
We are looking for a motivated Software Developer Intern who wants to grow at the intersection of software engineering and cybersecurity. You will join an R&D engineering environment and contribute to the development of enterprise software while working closely with our Application Security team and Security Champions.
This is not a traditional cybersecurity internship focused only on policies, reports, or vulnerability scanning. You will write software, understand real application architectures, and learn how to design, implement, test, and operate software securely.
The goal is to develop a software engineer with strong Application Security expertise who can progressively take on the role of a Security Champion within the development organization.
Role description & ResponsibilitiesAssist team members with feature development and maintenance using .NET and C#, working with APIs, REST, gRPC and modern service architectures.
Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure robust, clean, and reliable code.
Conduct technical research and spikes to help solve complex platform challenges.
Actively participate in team agile ceremonies, code reviews, and daily operations, working with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
Contribute to secure code reviews, threat modeling, and the definition of security requirements for new features.
Support the analysis and triage of vulnerabilities using SAST, SCA, and DAST tooling.
Get involved in security testing of APIs and services, as well as authentication, authorization, and cryptography topics.
Explore how Artificial Intelligence can improve Application Security, e.g. AI-assisted secure code review, vulnerability prioritization, and automation of repetitive AppSec activities.
Qualifications
Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related studies
Basic programming experience, preferably C# / .NET, Java, Python, C++, or a similar language
Understanding of object-oriented programming, basic web technologies/APIs, and basic knowledge of databases and SQL.
Familiarity with Git and a basic understanding of software engineering best practices and unit testing frameworks.
Familiarity or strong interest in DELMIA Apriso or manufacturing operations software.
Knowledge of OWASP Top 10, secure coding principles, authentication/authorization, or common vulnerabilities (e.g. injection, XSS, broken access control) is an advantage, but not required.
Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and work collaboratively in a team environment.
Good communication skills in English (written and spoken).
