Software Developer Intern (Next.js / Spring Boot)

Job summary

Build real products for real clients. As our Software Developer Intern, you’ll work on Next.js frontends, Spring Boot APIs, and whatever else the project needs to ship. Your code goes into production systems, with a senior team reviewing your work every step of the way.

What you’ll do

• Build responsive web interfaces in Next.js (React, TypeScript)

• Develop REST APIs and backend services in Spring Boot (Java)

• Design and work with relational databases: schema, relationships, queries (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Supabase)

• Develop in an AI-assisted coding environment, using tools like Claude Code and Codex as part of your daily workflow

• Write clean, tested, documented code

• Work in a real delivery workflow: Git, branching, code review, deployment

• Take on other development tasks as project needs arise
  

Requirements (we only review applications that meet these)

• Malaysian citizen. We are unable to accept international students for this role

• Currently pursuing a Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

• Hands-on experience in both Next.js and Spring Boot

• Java fundamentals with a solid understanding of OOP and API concepts

• Working understanding of SQL and relational database design

• A GitHub profile or code samples we can review

• Available for a minimum 3 to 6 month internship, Monday to Friday

• Own transport

What we expect from you

We’re a fast-paced team, so communication matters as much as code. We need someone who updates the team without being chased, flags blockers early, and asks questions when stuck instead of going quiet for two days.

We hope you’re not someone who just sits and waits for instructions.

Good to have

• Personal projects that show real development work: a deployed app, a side tool, something you built because you wanted to

• Prior experience developing with AI coding agents (Claude Code, Codex, or similar agentic workflows)

• Familiarity with Docker, JPA/Hibernate, or Tailwind CSS

• Exposure to authentication, API security, or third-party integrations
