SOFTWARE DEVELOPER (Java)
Summary
This role involves providing L2/L3 production support for critical banking applications using Java, Spring Boot, and SQL. The developer will manage distributed systems, handle P1 incidents, and work with tools like Kafka, Jenkins, and Kubernetes.
Responsibility and Requirements:
Java (Core, Spring Boot, Microservices), Hibernate
SQL (query writing, optimization, performance tuning)
Kafka (understanding of messaging/transactions)
Exception handling and API security (auth/authorization)
Platform / Tools
Monitoring: Splunk / Kibana / logs
DevOps: Jenkins, OpenShift/Kubernetes (basic to intermediate)
Database: MariaDB or other RDBMS
Functional Knowledge
Exposure to Core Banking systems
Understanding of transaction processing and application criticality
Basic understanding of interest calculations (Savings/Current)
Additional Skills
Knowledge of ACID properties
Understanding of scalability (vertical & horizontal)
Ability to design/debug distributed systems
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Mandatory Requirements:
Strong in Java, debugging, SQL, and troubleshooting
Experience in production support (L2/L3)
Ability to handle critical banking applications and P1 incidents
