Software Developer - Junior / Entry-Level

Backend Development + AI Exposure

We are looking for a Junior / Entry-Level Software Developer who wants to grow in backend development and gain hands-on experience with AI-powered features, integrations, and real business applications.

This is a role for someone who has solid technical fundamentals, enjoys learning, and wants to work on practical software used by real users. You do not need many years of commercial experience. What matters most is curiosity, ownership, and the ability to understand problems, ask good questions, and improve step by step.

What you will do

You will support the development of backend features, APIs, integrations, and AI-assisted product functionality. You will work with more experienced team members, participate in code reviews, learn how production software is built and maintained, and gradually take responsibility for selected parts of the system.

Your work may include building and improving REST APIs, working with databases, integrating external services, supporting AI-related features, writing clean and maintainable code, fixing bugs, improving documentation, and helping the team test and release new functionality.

You will also have the opportunity to work with AI-related use cases, such as integrating language model APIs, building simple AI-powered features, and learning how AI can support real product workflows. Experience in training machine learning models is not required.

We are looking for someone who

  • Has 0–2 years of commercial experience, or has developed their skills through internships, university, courses, bootcamps, open-source work, or personal projects.
  • Has a basic working knowledge of Python and/or Java with Spring Boot.
  • Has built backend applications or REST APIs, even as educational, portfolio, or personal projects.
  • Understands the fundamentals of SQL databases. Familiarity with NoSQL databases is a plus.
  • Understands basic application design principles, such as layered architecture, separation of concerns, and API-based communication.
  • Uses Git and understands the basics of working with repositories, branches, pull requests, and version control. Familiarity with CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Gitflow will be an advantage.
  • Cares about readable code and wants to grow in areas such as testing, code reviews, documentation, and maintainable software design.
  • Has some hands-on exposure to AI, for example through integrating language model APIs such as OpenAI, building a simple AI-powered application, creating a prototype, or experimenting with AI in personal projects.
  • Understands the basic capabilities and limitations of AI and LLMs.
  • Has a basic understanding of system integrations, APIs, and external services.
  • Familiarity with Docker, application deployment, or cloud platforms will be a plus.
  • Can collaborate with others, welcome feedback, ask questions when needed, and learn from more experienced team members.
  • Is eager to learn, open to new domains and technologies, and motivated to develop as a software engineer.
  • Has working proficiency in Polish.

What we do not expect

You do not need to meet every technical requirement from day one. We are not looking for a finished expert. We are looking for someone with good foundations, practical curiosity, and the motivation to grow into a stronger backend developer.

You also do not need experience in training AI models or advanced machine learning. Basic practical exposure to AI tools, APIs, or prototypes is enough.

What we offer

  • A chance to work on real backend and AI-related product features.
  • Support from experienced team members and space to learn through practical tasks.
  • Exposure to production systems, integrations, databases, APIs, and modern software development practices.
  • An environment where asking questions, improving code, and learning from feedback are part of the process.
  • The opportunity to develop in a product-focused company where technology is built to solve real user problems.
  • Sounds interesting?

Send us your CV, GitHub profile, portfolio, or links to projects you are proud of. We are especially interested in seeing what you have built, even if it was part of a course, university project, internship, or your own learning path.
