Summary

At Fujitsu in Munich, you'll develop core operating system components of the BS2000 mainframe OS across the full software lifecycle — specification, implementation, testing, maintenance, and service support — working in large teams with international partners, primarily using Assembler, C/C++, and scripting languages.

Your responsibilities:
  • As part of our software development team, you will further develop core operating system components of the BS2000 mainframe operating system and support the entire software lifecycle, from specification and implementation to testing, maintenance, and service support.
  • You will contribute to the design of innovative and complex IT architectures based on customer requirements.
  • You will work in large development teams and collaborate closely with our international strategic partners.
  • You will help provide technical documentation and create content for user manuals.
  • You will support our Service and Sales teams with technical expertise, including back-level maintenance support and problem resolution for your own modules as well as third-party components.

Your qualifications:
  • A completed degree (e.g., in Computer Science) or a comparable vocational qualification in an IT-related field.
  • Initial professional experience in software development, including programming languages (preferably Assembler, C/C++, and scripting languages) and system debugging.
  • Experience with the software development lifecycle, including source code management and continuous integration.
  • Strong analytical skills, flexibility, creativity, and a customer- and service-oriented mindset.
  • Very good German language skills and good English language skills.
