Software Developer

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Developer to support our government client. This is a remote position.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Develops, creates, and modifies general computer applications software or specialized utility programs.
Analyzes user needs and develops software solutions.
Designs or customizes software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.
Analyzes and designs databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.
Research, designs, develops, and tests operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for medical, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, business, scientific, and general computing applications.
Sets operational specifications and formulates and analyzes software requirements.
Design embedded systems software; apply principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.

Minimum Qualifications:

12 years of IT experience with a HS diploma; 8 years’ w/Bachelor’s degree; or 4 years with a Masters degree.
Minimum of 6 years’ hands on development experience with Java and JavaScript in Linux environments.
Minimum of 6 years’ hands on development experience with NodeJS, Spring/Spring Boot and Python.
Minimum of 6 years’ experience developing in Agile / Scrum environment.
Development experience with AWS, AWS Lambdas, AWS CloudFormation; experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL AWS DynamoDB.
Ability to develop program logic for new applications or analyze existing applications; experienced with codes, tests, debugs and maintaining software applications.
Ability to analyze requirements and maintain test and integrate applications; ability to solve a range of problems independently.

Clearance Requirements:

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.
Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
