Position Summary:

The Software Developer will support and assist with building and maintaining internal web-based interfaces and supporting application logic.

Essential Functions:

· Implement front-end components, applying visual updates

· Apply visual updates and ensure consistency with brand and accessibility standards

· Perform routine development tasks such as code refactoring, bug fixes, and minor enhancements

· Assist with backend data handling and system integration tasks under supervision

· Develop and modify front-end components using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

· Apply layout and style changes to existing applications

· Assist with updates to existing code using frameworks such as React.js

· Support backend logic and basic database interactions using tools such as SQL or .NET

· Perform basic troubleshooting and bug fixes across the application stack

· Use version control tools (e.g., Git) to manage changes in code

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA’s) for Position:

Effective performance in this role requires the following:

Knowledge

· Policies, practices, and procedures of PowerStream Dynamis/MidCentral Energy

· Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) procedures and guidelines, as well as safety practices in the industry

· Familiarity with front-end development tools and frameworks (e.g., React.js, .NET, Node.js)

· Basic understanding of backend development and databases (e.g., SQL, Data Lake)

· Understanding of core web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

· Experience with development tools such as Visual Studio, Git, or browser dev tools

· Principles of customer service

· Creative problem-solving skills to analyze issues and develop innovative solutions

· Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and explain solutions clearly to non-technical users

Minimum Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science , Software Engineering, or closely related field

Minimum Experience:

Six (6) months experience in software development

OR equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the duties of the job
