Contract: Permanent | Full-time
Salary: £58,000 - £60,000

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity for a Software Developer with strong Python and Django experience to join a collaborative digital team. You'll play a key role in developing and enhancing web applications, supporting system integrations and delivering technology solutions that support strategic business objectives. Working as part of a close-knit development team, you will design, build and maintain web applications and services, delivering secure, scalable and high-quality solutions.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Developing and maintaining applications using Python, Django and related technologies
  • Writing clean, secure and testable code
  • Supporting and enhancing existing systems and applications
  • Gathering requirements and collaborating with stakeholders on technical solutions
  • Designing and implementing APIs and system integrations
  • Supporting CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
  • Working across front-end and back-end development
  • Participating in code reviews and supporting knowledge sharing within the team
  • Ensuring development work follows best practice for testing, security and documentation
  • Supporting UAT, testing and software releases
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of development processes and technologies
Essential:
  • Commercial experience developing with Python
  • Experience using Django
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML and CSS
  • Experience with SQL and database design
  • Proficiency with Git and GitHub
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions
  • Experience working with Bash and command-line tools
  • Experience with AWS cloud services
  • Strong understanding of software development best practice
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Dataverse
  • Agile development experience
  • Experience mentoring junior developers or conducting code reviews
