Salary: $85,000 – $127,500 per year

We cover everything from from scheduling and online bookings to payments and online courses. And behind the scenes there's a vast range of customer management, communication and business performance and management tools.
The role
We are looking for a Software Developer who takes pride in their work and enjoys solving difficult problems.
You will build new features, improve existing functionality and investigate production issues. You'll start with the requirement, work on the design, implementation and see it through to production.
The engineering is highly varied as we cover everything from website editing tools, API integrations, SEO management, data imports, financial integrations and a constant stream of new features.
We make extensive use of agentic AI to build features and optimise process flows, and to help customers analyse their data.
What you will do
Build and maintain features across the BookingTimes platform
Work with ASP.NET, VB.NET and/or C#
Develop customer-facing interfaces and backend application logic
Write and maintain T-SQL queries, stored procedures and data-driven functionality
Investigate issues across application code, databases and third-party services
Analyse data to understand problems and validate solutions
Work with scheduling, payments, invoicing, reporting, email, SMS and integrations
Translate business requirements into practical, well-designed technical solutions
Participate in requirements discussions, technical planning and code reviews
Test your work and take responsibility for it through to production
Improve existing code when there is a clear opportunity to make it safer or easier to maintain
Technical Requirements
Practical experience with ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET or a similar development environment
Some knowledge of SQL Server and T-SQL
Familiarity with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
Strong problem-solving skills and genuine technical curiosity
An understanding of good software design and readable code
The ability to work with an established codebase
The ability to communicate your reasoning and ask focused questions
An interest in AI-assisted software development

Permanent, full-time position
40 hours per week
Salary of $70,000 - $135,000 depending on capability and experience. If you're outside of the band, feel feel to still reach out.
Based in Invercargill
On-site or hybrid working by agreement
Not a fully remote position
Applicants from elsewhere in New Zealand are welcome if they are willing to relocate to Invercargill.
