About the opportunity
Join NZX’s Energy IT team as a Software Developer and help build, enhance and support the technology underpinning New Zealand’s electricity market. You’ll contribute to major market projects, improve essential systems and deliver reliable solutions that keep day-to-day operations running smoothly. Working closely with development, testing, operations and business teams, you’ll enjoy varied, meaningful work in a collaborative environment where your ideas and expertise can make a real impact.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop and enhance applications using Oracle SQL, Oracle APEX, ReactJS and NodeJS.
- Develop and maintain automated build and deployment processes using Ansible and GitHub Actions.
- Gather and assess business requirements, provide technical input and design effective solutions that support business objectives.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions on time and in line with software development best practice.
- Provide on-call and day-to-day operational support for Energy systems, including monitoring and resolving logged issues.
- Maintain clear technical documentation and support Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity testing across applications and solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Computing or Engineering.
- Knowledge in Oracle APEX (Preferred).
- Relevant AWS certifications (Preferred).
- 3+ years’ experience developing with Oracle SQL, Oracle APEX, ReactJS, NodeJS.
- Experience with Podman or Docker.
- Experience with SDLC development methodologies.
- Experience with Ansible and GitHub actions.
