Software Developer
Salary: $2,750 – $4,000 per month
About the role
Outdoor Dreams is looking for a versatile mid-level software developer who can build internal tools to improve and scale business operations. You will work closely with the technical lead, who will set priorities, provide architectural guidance, and assign work. The work will be varied, involving building or improving core applications, as well as smaller operational projects such as developing integrations, automating workflows, or writing scripts for marketing and business tools.
Key responsibilities
Build, maintain, and improve web applications and internal tools
Translate assigned tasks and business objectives into working software
Write clean, maintainable TypeScript
Work with backend technologies such as PHP and Laravel, Go, or comparable frameworks and languages
Create integrations and automation scripts for marketing, operational, and third-party platforms
Write and maintain unit and integration tests
Diagnose issues and deliver reliable fixes
Use modern AI development tools, such as Claude or Codex, effectively and responsibly
Gather input from non-technical users and incorporate their feedback into practical solutions
Communicate progress, questions, tradeoffs, and blockers clearly
About you
Professional software development experience appropriate for a mid-level role
Strong working knowledge of TypeScript
Experience with PHP and Laravel, Go, or similar backend technologies
Demonstrated ability to complete well-defined projects independently
Experience writing meaningful unit and integration tests
Familiarity with APIs, third-party integrations, and automation scripts
Ability to understand feedback from non-technical stakeholders and translate it into software requirements
Good judgment about when to move forward independently and when to ask for clarification
Willingness to handle both substantial application work and smaller, practical technical tasks
Clear written and verbal communication
