About the role
Software Developer role focused on building custom geoprocessing tools and real-time maritime tracking systems. The position involves expertise in ArcGIS API for JavaScript, ArcGIS Pro, Enterprise, and Online, with hands-on experience in AIS data, vessel tracking, geofencing, and VTS concepts. The role requires expert-level proficiency in Python for backend development and JavaScript/TypeScript for frontend work, with deep understanding of WebSockets for live data ingestion and rendering optimization.
Key responsibilities
Perform daily monitoring of tracking systems
Build custom geoprocessing tools using ArcGIS API for JavaScript, ArcGIS Pro, Enterprise, and Online
Develop real-time engineering solutions using Python (backend) and JavaScript/TypeScript (frontend)
Write and optimize complex spatial queries using PostGIS
Implement data fusion from AIS, radar, and satellite sources
Optimize performance using GraphicsLayer vs. FeatureLayer and LOD management
Provide IT support including network troubleshooting, hardware, Microsoft 365, printer, and CCTV
Troubleshoot computer networks (Mikrotik) and resolve technical issues
About you
Minimal D3 or S1 degree in Teknik Informatika / Sistem Informasi / Ilmu Komputer
Minimal 2 years of experience
Expert in Python (backend) and JavaScript/TypeScript (frontend)
Deep expertise in ArcGIS API for JavaScript, ArcGIS Pro, Enterprise, and Online
Proven hands-on experience with AIS data, vessel tracking, geofencing, and VTS concepts
Proficiency in PostGIS (writing and optimizing complex spatial queries)
Experience with React or Angular paired with ArcGIS JS API
Active English language proficiency
Problem-solving skills, detail-oriented, clear communication
Willingness to learn new technologies
