Software Developer – Scala/Java

Location:Singapore

We are looking for an experiencedSenior Software Engineerto design, develop, and deliver robust, scalable technology solutions that meet business requirements. You will collaborate with regional and global teams to build new functionalities, drive software engineering best practices, and mentor junior developers in a fast-paced Agile environment.

This is a12-month contractwithpotential for extension.

• Develop robust and scalable technology solutions using modern software development best practices.
• Collaborate with regional and global teams to design and build new functionalities usingScala/Javaand shared technology platforms.
• Communicate technical designs and solutions effectively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
• Coach and mentor a team of software engineers, promoting engineering excellence and best practices.
• Applyevent sourcing,CQRS, design patterns, and clean code principles to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Write well-tested code usingTest Driven Development (TDD), Specification by Example,BDD/ATDD, and Continuous Integration practices.
• Contribute to Agile/Scrum ceremonies and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work with SDLC automation tools includingJenkins, Gradle, GitHub, Artifactory, and Ansible.
• Optimize application performance and contribute to system design and architecture discussions.

• Strong hands-on experience developing applications usingScala and/or Java.
• Solid understanding ofObject-Oriented Programming (OOP)andFunctional Programmingprinciples.
• Experience withEvent Sourcing,CQRS, design patterns, and software engineering best practices.
• Strong understanding of algorithms and code optimization techniques.
• Experience withTDD,BDD/ATDD, and Continuous Integration.
• Hands-on experience withJenkins, Gradle, GitHub, Artifactory, and Ansible.
• Experience working inAgile/Scrumenvironments.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience withReactJS,AngularJS, orElasticsearch.
• Knowledge ofAMPS messaging infrastructureandSQL/database programming.
• Understanding ofCapital Markets, particularlysecurities trade processing, clearing, and settlements.
