Software Developer

Working Hours: Monday – Thursday (8.30am –6pm), Friday (8.30am – 5.30pm) (Hybrid working arrangement)

Salary Package: Up to SGD 11,000 + AWS

Employment Type: Full-time Contract (1 year renewable with chances of conversion)

We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Engineer to design, develop and maintain scalable, secure and reliable digital applications. You will work across the full software development lifecycle, collaborating with product managers, designers, engineers and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into high-quality technical solutions.

We value strong software engineering fundamentals, adaptability and problem-solving abilities over mastery of any specific programming language.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain frontend and backend applications.
• Develop backend services using technologies such as Java, Kotlin, Python, Node.js/TypeScript, Go or C#.
• Build responsive and accessible user interfaces using React, Next.js, Vue, Angular or similar frameworks.
• Design and implement RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.
• Develop scalable microservices and distributed systems.
• Design and work with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, as well as NoSQL databases where appropriate.
• Develop data-processing workflows and ETL pipelines.
• Implement system integrations and event-driven architectures.
• Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code following established software engineering principles.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical design discussions.
• Build automated unit, integration and end-to-end tests.
• Containerise applications using Docker and support their deployment to cloud environments.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation and production operations.
• Troubleshoot application issues, optimise system performance and ensure production reliability.
• Apply security, privacy and compliance requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile development environment.
• Contribute to application modernisation and the development of reusable engineering components, platforms or frameworks.

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of working experience in full stack, backend or software application development.
• Proficiency in at least one backend programming language, such as Java, Kotlin, Python, Node.js/TypeScript, Go or C#.
• Experience with at least one modern frontend framework, such as React, Next.js, Vue or Angular.
• Hands-on experience designing and integrating RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.
