About DocxedoLaw firms have strict house formatting rules but struggle to enforce them on the documents they create, particularly when AI is involved. Today, firms pay whole teams of secretaries and document specialists to fix that by hand. Docxedo does it in one click, inside Word, through our native add-in.
Docxedo is already growing fast, with 20+ firms across ANZ on-board and strong international interest. Demand is outpacing what we can build: the features our current and prospective customers are asking for are now our bottleneck, and that's where you come in.
Our Role
We're looking for a Developer who's excited by the prospect of working in a startup with immense opportunity, high levels of ownership, and influence over features and team direction. You'll be one of two experienced developers building Docxedo. This is a role for someone who is energized by tackling complex challenges with no clear or immediate solution and who is passionate about solving real-world problems by shipping high-quality features. Your responsibilities will include:
- Owning Docxedo's DevOps, scaling, and site reliability
- Building systems that consistently manipulate the OOXML of arbitrary documents
- Owning the development of novel features from conceptualization through to deployment, across our full tech stack:
- Python backend with FastAPI
- React frontend
- Azure + Docker hosting
- Making pragmatic core technical and architectural decisions that will steer the direction of Docxedo
- AI/ML integration, experimentation, and development
What You Bring
- DevOps experience, particularly in Azure
- Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science or a related discipline or equivalent experience
- Ideally 5+ years' professional experience in full-stack software development
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining production software systems
- You're collaborative, honest, pragmatic, and have a drive to build great software
- You ship fast, say what you think, and can run well on your own
- Professional experience with Python, TypeScript, and React
- Experience implementing and maintaining modern authentication systems
- Experience working with OOXML and/or Office.js
- Practical experience integrating AI/ML models in products
