About the role

We are seeking a skilled Software Developer to join WeSupport, Inc. on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the development and maintenance of robust software solutions that serve our diverse client base. Based in Makati City, Metro Manila, you will work alongside a talented team of developers, collaborating on projects that range from new application development to system enhancements and maintenance. This role is integral to our mission of delivering high-quality software products that drive business success.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of software applications.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performance software solutions, with a focus on mobile applications and financial systems.
• Develop clean, maintainable, and efficient code following established coding standards and best practices.
• Integrate applications with APIs, payment gateways, backend services, and legacy banking systems while ensuring security, reliability, and performance.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications to improve functionality, responsiveness, scalability, and user experience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, QA Engineers, UI/UX Designers, and Infrastructure teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, technical documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies, development frameworks, and industry best practices to enhance software quality and innovation.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• At least 1–3 years of professional experience in Software Development.
• Experience in Android application development.
• Proficiency in at least two (3) of the following technologies:
  • Java
  • JavaScript
  • C#
  • Visual Studio
  • .NET
  • MS SQL
  • Kotlin
• Solid understanding of software development principles, object-oriented programming (OOP), and data structures.
• Experience with Git or other version control systems.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience in the banking, financial services, or fintech industry is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of iOS application development and POS terminal systems is an advantage.
