Software Development and Support Engineer
Blue Cardinal Home Services | Dallas, TX (Galleria area) | Full-Time
Most software engineers never see who uses what they build. Here you will. Blue Cardinal Home Services is a fast-growing, PE-backed group of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical companies across the U.S. We’re putting AI and smart engineering into how the trades run, from the call center to the service truck.
We’re hiring a hands-on, AI-fluent engineer to build, deploy, and support the tools our companies use every day. You’ll write the code, go on site with the teams, see how the business actually works, and ship things that make a difference within weeks. If you like owning a project from start to finish and seeing real results, this is the job.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain full-stack applications, backend services, APIs, integrations, and internal tools that serve multiple operating companies
- Design reliable systems that scale across businesses with different workflows and different levels of tech maturity
- Build automations and data workflows that save time and help operators make better decisions
- Support our core platforms, including Five9 (call center), ServiceTitan with our custom AI add-ons, and the integrations that connect them: configuration, user admin, troubleshooting, and keeping them running
- Monitor production systems, fix issues fast, and make things more reliable over time
- Travel to our partner companies to work alongside operators and vendors, learn their processes, and turn real problems into working software
- Own projects from discovery through design, development, deployment, adoption, and ongoing support
- Help set the engineering standards and practices as the team grows
- Explain technical decisions clearly to developers and non-technical people alike
