Software Development
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications for IoT devices and systems
- Implement and manage IoT communication protocols such as MQTT, CoAP, HTTP, and LoRaWAN
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration between devices and cloud platforms
- Develop APIs, backend services, and microservices for IoT device management and data processing
- Optimize software applications for performance, scalability, reliability, and security
- Conduct software testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance analysis
- Ensure data protection and compliance with IoT cybersecurity standards and best practices
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation including software architecture, workflows, and development procedures
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to coding standards and development best practices
- Monitor emerging technologies, trends, and innovations in IoT and fleet management systems
- Support deployment, maintenance, and updates of IoT applications and services
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for system improvements and technical issue resolution
- Assist in implementing CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and DevOps practices when necessary
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
EXPERIENCE
- At least 3 years of experience in IoT software development or related field
- Experience in fleet management systems is an advantage
WORKING RELATIONSHIP
- Coordinates closely with Hardware Engineers, Software Developers, QA Teams, and Technical Support regarding IoT system integration and troubleshooting
KNOWLEDGE
- Proficient in Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript, or related programming languages
- Strong understanding of IoT communication protocols and networking concepts
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and embedded systems
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs, WebSocket, JSON, and Protocol Buffers
- Understanding of IoT cybersecurity standards and best practices
