Software Development Engineer, AWS Intent Driven Networking (AIDN)
Key job responsibilities
As a Software Development Engineer on AIDN, you own the full software development lifecycle — design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operational maintenance — for components across the platform. Your components must be secure by design and meet a high bar for consistency, availability, and network safety. You bring distributed systems knowledge and networking fundamentals to every design decision, anticipating how your software behaves at scale and under degraded conditions and factoring those scenarios in from the start. You own your components independently, make sound technical trade-offs within your area, and hold your work to a high engineering standard: extensible design and well-defined interfaces. You continuously raise operational posture through the right metrics, monitoring, and alarms that give clear visibility into platform health. You provide meaningful feedback through design and code reviews, mentor less-experienced engineers, and proactively communicate progress, risks, and blockers. You collaborate across team boundaries and contribute to the team's technical direction.
