Software Development Engineers to build data products on Google Cloud for a large US enterprise data platform. The role involves end-to-end development of data pipelines and data products within an Agile Scrum team, from design through production deployment.

• Develop and maintain data pipelines and data products on BigQuery, Dataflow and Cloud Composer.
• Implement source-to-target mappings and canonical model designs as production-ready code.
• Write unit tests and data quality checks, and reconcile outputs against source systems.
• Analyse and resolve defects, and document root causes.
• Participate in sprint planning, estimation, daily stand-ups and sprint reviews.
• Use CI/CD pipelines and Git workflows to promote code across environments.
• Use AI-assisted development tools as part of the engineering workflow.

Skills

• 3 to 6 years of experience in software or data engineering, including at least 2 years on Google Cloud data services.
• Strong SQL skills, including complex transformations, window functions and performance tuning in BigQuery.
• Proficiency in Python; experience with Apache Beam, Spark or similar processing frameworks.
• Experience with workflow orchestration (Airflow or Cloud Composer) and Git-based CI/CD.
• Understanding of data modelling and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience working in Agile teams using Jira.

Good to Have

• Google Cloud Associate or Professional Data Engineer certification.
• Familiarity with ERP data such as SAP or PeopleSoft.
• Exposure to data quality or observability tools.
• Experience working with US-based teams.
