Key job responsibilities
- Design and implement software solutions across the full development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, system design, coding, testing, deployment, and operational support.
- Write high-quality, maintainable code and actively participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to teammates and coaching others on best practices.
- Identify root causes of operational issues and drive permanent fixes, continuously improving system reliability and your team's operational processes.
- Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional peers to understand business context and ensure your solutions deliver the right outcomes.
- Evaluate and integrate new tools and approaches — including generative AI capabilities — to improve productivity, code quality, and team workflows.
A day in the life
You might start by reviewing a design document for an upcoming feature, providing feedback that strengthens the architecture before implementation begins. Later, you pair with a teammate on a tricky code change, then shift to investigating an operational metric that looks off.
