Software Development Engineer II

The core responsibilities for the job include the following:

Back-end Development:

• Develop and deliver backend services for mobile and web applications in alignment with the product roadmap.
• Ensure the timely delivery of sprint tasks with high-quality, scalable, and reliable code.
• Design and implement a microservices architecture for optimal performance and scalability.

Code Quality and Best Practices:

• Consistently write production-ready, easily testable code.
• Conduct peer code reviews and advocate for engineering excellence.
• Propose and implement backend engineering best practices.

Collaboration:

• Collaborate with product and design teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Coordinate with team members and external vendors for product-related tasks.

System Monitoring and Maintenance:

• Monitor and maintain the production environment to ensure system reliability.
• Actively participate in the on-call rotation and resolve production incidents within SLAs.
• Optimize system performance and error budgets through continuous improvement.

Technology Leadership:

• Stay updated on competitive technology landscapes and industry trends.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• 4-6 years of backend development experience.
• Proficiency in backend platforms like Node.js or Java and microservices architecture.
• Strong experience with databases (PostgreSQL and NoSQL).
• Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Sentry, New Relic, and AWS Stack.
• Experience with Docker, Git, and AWS services.
• Backend framework courses or certifications are preferred.
