Software Development Engineer in Test Automation - Python / Linux / HIL

We're working with a rapidly scaling, well-funded company, developing advanced software for aerial robotics, with plans for continued growth this year.

There are multiple teams you may fit into but you could be building and maintain Python based tools, automation frameworks, and internal infrastructure that keep the engineering teams running at high quality. You'll design end-to-end test suites, work with hardware-in-the-loop setups, and develop the platforms and tooling that other engineers rely on daily, hands-on, high-ownership, working close to real products.

This is a full-time, permanent position based on-site in Oslo, Norway.

Salaries will consist of a strong base salary + potential equity and relocation assistance will be provided.

• Python experience - a strong programmer, not just scripting but real development
• Comfortable working in Linux heavy environments
• A quality first mindset. You care about building systems and environments that hold up at scale
• Backend systems experience is a strong fit; ML engineers with solid backend foundations and genuine interest in this space are also considered
• Experience with CI/CD, Docker, or similar infrastructure tooling is a plus
• Hardware-adjacent or HIL/test automation experience is a bonus, not a requirement
• Around 4–10 years of professional experience; 3 years considered for candidates with strong HIL or test automation backgrounds
• Must be eligible for Norwegian security clearance
