- Write, execute, and maintain automated API tests using Playwright and Robot Framework.
- Review requirements and user stories, design and document test cases covering functional and non-functional scenarios.
- Execute manual exploratory testing on new features where automation coverage does not yet exist, and convert repeatable checks into automated tests.
- Triage failing tests in CI/CD pipelines, distinguish genuine product defects from flaky or environment-related failures, and escalate appropriately.
- Log clear, well-evidenced defects with reproduction steps, logs, and screenshots, and track them through to closure.
- Use Git for day-to-day version control- branching, pull requests, and responding to code review feedback on your test code.
- Contribute to test data setup, environment configuration, and small automation utilities that reduce manual effort.
- Collaborate with developers and product managers on quality risks.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 0-2 years of experience in software testing, test automation, or software development
- Working knowledge of at least one programming language - Python preferred.
- Exposure to an automation framework such as PyTest, Playwright, or Robot Framework, through work, coursework, or personal projects.
- Understanding of REST API concepts (HTTP methods, status codes, JSON) and familiarity with a tool such as Postman or the requests library.
- Familiarity with Git and basic branching workflows.
- Solid grasp of software testing fundamentals: test case design, defect lifecycle, regression testing, and the difference between functional and non-functional testing.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with clear written and verbal communication.
- Willingness to learn quickly and take direction from senior engineers.
- Hands-on experience with PyTest, Playwright (TypeScript or Python bindings) or Robot Framework.
- Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Concourse, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Awareness of Agile/Scrum practices and tools such as Jira.
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, k6, or Locust.
