Software Development Engineer, Ring Operations
Summary
Build and modernize fullstack AWS services that power eCommerce fulfillment and logistics workflows for Ring and Blink, integrating with support and AI systems.

You will design, integrate, and modernize fullstack services on AWS that power fulfillment and logistics workflows across Ring and Blink, with the potential to expand to other business units. Your work will directly enable eCommerce teams, Customer Support teams, and AI agents to operate faster and more reliably. You will redesign existing systems, build new integrations, and drive architectural improvements across the service landscape — using AI as a force multiplier to your daily work.
You can expect working with a mix of hosted and serverless microservices. Your solutions will follow the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
This role is based in Gdansk with flexible working hours.
Key job responsibilities
- Designing and modernizing fullstack services on AWS, leveraging a range of AWS solutions to support fulfillment and logistics operations.
- Integrating systems across business units, starting with Ring and Blink eCommerce, Customer Support, and AI agent platforms.
- Redesigning existing architectures to improve reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
- Applying AI tools and techniques to accelerate development and rapidly deliver new capabilities.
- Writing, testing, maintaining, and deploying code across the stack.
- Inventing, designing, estimating, and planning new features and integration patterns.
- Working in a Scrum team, attending Daily, Planning, Grooming, and Retro meetings.
- Learning from others and helping to grow junior team members.

We are a team of engineers owning the systems that process over a million orders annually through Amazon's Fulfillment Network. We integrate deeply with Amazon's ecosystem while replacing third-party dependencies with scalable, in-house solutions. We run what we build, value operational excellence and data-driven decision making, and design multi-tenant solutions that scale beyond a single business unit.
- Proficiency in at least one backend language (Java, Python, TypeScript, or similar)
- Experience with AI and agentic-driven software delivery
- Experience in system design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling of new and current systems).
- Professional software development experience
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Experience in working with cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP etc.)

The minimum gross base salary for this position is listed below. The base salary listed corresponds to working on a full-time basis. For part-time hours, the salary will be pro-rated.
Amazon reserves the right to offer a higher base salary, depending on the candidate's skills, competencies, and experience. Amazon's package may include a sign on payment. In addition, the candidate may be eligible to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme operated independently by
