About the role

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Software Development Intern to join our growing development team in Bukit Damansara, Kuala Lumpur. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior developer or recent graduate to gain practical, hands-on experience in software development whilst contributing to real projects within a dynamic technology-driven environment. As an intern, you will work alongside experienced developers, learning industry best practices and modern development methodologies whilst supporting the delivery of our software solutions. Key responsibilities

• Developing and writing clean, efficient code under the guidance of senior developers

• Participating in code reviews and receiving constructive feedback to improve coding practices

• Assisting in the design, development and testing of software applications and features

• Contributing to the debugging and troubleshooting of software issues and defects

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions

• Documenting code and creating technical documentation for developed features

• Supporting the maintenance and enhancement of existing software applications

• Attending team meetings and contributing ideas for continuous improvement

What we're looking for

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree programme in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field

• Solid understanding of fundamental programming concepts and object-oriented programming principles

• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, C++, C# or JavaScript

• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git

• Knowledge of software development best practices and agile methodologies

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think logically about technical challenges

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment

• Keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality code

• Willingness to learn new technologies and take on challenging projects

• Preferred experience: exposure to web development frameworks, relational databases (SQL), or experience with development tools such as IDEs and build systems
