Software Development Lead (Full Stack)

Summary

Leads a small team of developers in designing, building, and maintaining full-stack applications for public-sector systems, with hands-on coding, mentorship, and technical leadership in cloud (AWS/Azure) and DevSecOps environments.

Client introduction

Our client is a technology solutions provider in Singapore that builds software for the public sector. They work on meaningful, large-scale systems and they are looking for a Software Development Lead who still enjoys coding and likes helping other developers get better.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a small team of developers, giving them technical guidance and support.
  • Stay hands-on with the design and development of full-stack applications.
  • Design systems, APIs and application components that are scalable and easy to maintain.
  • Review code and keep good coding, security and DevSecOps practices across the team.
  • Work with business analysts, designers, infrastructure engineers and other stakeholders to deliver projects.
  • Help with technical planning, estimation and solving the more complex problems.
  • Work with cloud environments (AWS or Azure) and support CI/CD pipelines.
  • Make sure solutions are delivered with good performance, security and reliability.

Job requirements

  • Around 6 years or more of software development experience, with solid full-stack work.
  • Experience leading, mentoring or guiding other developers is important for this role.
  • Good experience building web applications and RESTful APIs.
  • Comfortable across modern frontend and backend technologies.
  • Sound understanding of system design, secure coding and development best practices.
  • Exposure to AWS or Azure and CI/CD.
  • Used to working in Agile teams.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills, and a real interest in developing other engineers.
  • Government or public-sector project experience (Singpass or Corppass) is a plus, but not required.
